The Quezon City Government has established dialysis centers at the QC General Hospital (QCGH) and the Rosario Maclang Bautista General Hospital (RMBGH), which offer free services to QCitizens with chronic kidney disease (CKD) through the expanded PhilHealth Dialysis Package.
Aiming to provide more accessible and affordable treatment to QCitizens, the QCGH Hemodialysis unit is equipped with five advanced hemodialysis machines. Additionally, RMBGH has modernized its facilities and secured essential medical equipment to meet dialysis service standards.
The first center built at the QCGH serves exclusively admitted and emergency room patients, while the RMBGH dialysis center can serve up to 9 patients per day and 54 per week.
To avail of free dialysis, both centers require the submission of necessary documents, including the following:
- Endorsement from a nephrologist
- A Hepa profile valid for at least six months
- Last three treatment sheets
- A set of laboratory results
- List of their medications
- Clinical abstract
- A vaccination record
- A valid PhilHealth membership ID number
Through the Healthcare Provider Network, QCitizens in need of dialysis may also be referred to other health facilities in the city, including East Avenue Medical Center (EAMC), National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI), and Quirino Memorial Medical Center (QMMC).
This initiative strengthens the city’s public health commitment by broadening access to important medical services and significantly easing the financial burden on families.
