- DISTRIBUTION TO ADULTS AND CHILDREN
The Quezon City Government through the Persons With Disabiity Affairs Office (PDAO) in partnership with Ear Access are giving hearing aids to hearing impaired indvidials.
The program has since benefitted ten (10) children and and seventeen (17) adult females.
To further monitor hearing among the young, the children will undergo testings In the daycare centers and be given appropriate action if found to have hearing impairment.
- DISTRIBUTION TO CHILDREN 5 YEARS AND BELOW
The local government through the Persons with Disability Office and QC Kabahagi Ceneter for Children with Disabilities have also partnered with ACCESS Canada Brand Hearing Aid to distribute hearing aids to children 5 years and below.
With the help of the Free Assistive Device Program and Early Detection, Intervention and Prevention of Disability Program (EDIDP), five children have received new hearing aids, hearing tests and screenings were also conducted by audiologists to determine possible recipients of the device.
