The Quezon City Government, through the Social Services Development Department (SSDD), provides medical assistance to indigent QCitizens who lack sufficient or total means to pay for their medical expenses, particularly for purchasing medications that are not available at Botika ng Bayan.
Through the program, QCitizens who seek assistance with medicines must submit the complete requirements to qualify and receive medical drug certificates, which they can use to purchase the necessary medicines and medical supplies.
For hospital bill assistance, the city government has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with various hospitals, including Quezon City General Hospital (QCGH), Lung Center of the Philippines, National Children’s Hospital, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, Heart Center of the Philippines, East Avenue Medical Center, Philippine Children’s Medical Center, Quirino Memorial Medical Center, and St. Luke’s Medical Center to help in providing quality health care services to the patients.
The local government also offers social case study reports and other referrals to QCitizens.
As of April 2025, 208,664 residents were able to avail the medical assistance program.
To know more about the program, kindly reach out to SSDD or check out the How to Request for Medical Assistance guide on the website.
