The Quezon City Government, through the Small Business and Cooperatives Development and Promotions Office (SBCDPO) and Business Permits and Licensing Department (BPLD), has launched the Nano-Enterprise Registration Program, which greatly benefits home-based and community-based livelihoods in the city, including sari-sari stores and carinderia.
As part of the program, livelihoods operated by self-employed individuals or sole proprietorships with an asset size not exceeding PHP 50,000 and whose annual gross sales receipts do not exceed PHP 250,000 shall submit all the needed documents via QC e-Services -Business One-Stop-Shop to register. Applicants will receive an e-copy of their business permit after paying for the corresponding fees.
The program benefits include:
- Exemption from local business tax and regulatory fees
- Priority consideration for financial programs such as grants, subsidies, loans, and others
- Priority consideration for workshops, seminars, and other mentorship opportunities
- Receiving capital assistance for businesses affected by disasters such as fires, floods, and others.
With the simplified and streamlined process for securing business permits in QC e-Services, businesses are provided with easier access to the city government’s financial assistance, training opportunities, and other essential support
This initiative reflects the city’s commitment to inclusive economic growth, which aims to ensure that every nano-enterprise is adequately supported and equipped with the necessary resources.
As of March 2026, a total of 496 nano-enterprises have registered for the program.
