The Quezon City Government, through the City Legal Department (CLD), provides free legal assistance to QCitizens.
Under the program, QCitizens from the marginalized sector, including the urban poor, low-wage earners, senior citizens and other vulnerable groups within the city who normally do not have access to lawyers for their legal concerns, and need legal advice or documentation, are eligible to avail of the program.
The office offers legal advice that involves topics related to Civil cases, Labor cases and Family Law:
- For Civil Cases
- Disputes/disagreements between neighbors
- Landlord and tenant issues
- Right of way
- Encroachment
- Lot partition
- Ownership claims, etc
- For Labor Cases
- Questions about dismissal, wages, etc.
- For Family Law
- Child or spousal support
- Custody, etc.
To avail basic legal advice, no strict documentary requirements are needed. QCitizens shall only bring their QCitizen ID or any valid ID, along with the completed PALAO Form provided at their office.
At the end of 2025, their lawyers assisted a total of 663 individuals.
