The Quezon City Government, through the Small Business and Cooperatives Development and Promotions Office (SBCDPO), has launched the QC Essentials Livelihood Training Program, which provides technical livelihood assistance to multiple organizations, associations, and vulnerable sectors, including PWDs, solo parents, women, and LGBTQ+ groups.
Under the program, beneficiaries are set to receive starter kits that they can utilize to expand and produce QC Brand, which ranges from everyday household essentials to local food processing industry products.
In creating and distributing the kits, the QC SBCDPO partners with various city departments such as the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO), Public Employment Service Office (PESO), and Education Affairs Unit (EAU). The city government also coordinates with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in facilitating trainings and seminars on making dimsum, multi-purpose detergent powder, handwash/dishwashing soap, perfume, automobile shampoo, meat processing, and alcologne.
This program was initially created to provide employment opportunities to QCitizens during the pandemic.
As of June 2025, the city government has distributed 15,500 kits and conducted 241 trainings, with a total of 22,425 attendees.
