The Quezon City Government, through the QC Health Department (QCHD), has launched the SelfTestXpress Free HIV Self Testing Kit, which aims to make HIV testing more accessible, combatting stigma, and increasing the number of individuals informed about their status.
Under the program, QCitizens can now request free HIV test kits delivered directly to their homes. With the free, confidential, accurate and easy-to-use kits, this allows the QCitizens to take the test on their own.
Provided by the Global Fund- PROTECTS UPSCALE and EpiC Philippines as part of the QCHD STI, HIV and AIDS Program, the testing kits contain the materials needed to administer the test, including the instructional guides, specimen dropper, buffer, lancet, alcohol pads, band aid and the test itself.
Here are the steps to avail the free HIV Self Test Kit.
