The Quezon City Government, through the QC Public Employment Service Office (QC PESO), hosts an annual citywide Labor Day Job Fair that connects job seekers with participating private companies and government agencies across various industries and sectors, offering thousands of job vacancies.
Under the program, the applicants may apply for available positions such as customer service representatives, office staff, cashiers, drivers, service crew, and sales associates, and have the chance to be Hired-on-the-Spot (HOTS), depending on their performance during the assessment and the company’s decision.
The city government urges the applicants to dress accordingly and bring the necessary pre-employment requirements, including multiple copies of their updated résumés and valid IDs. Some government services can also be availed at the venue to support job seekers.
Apart from the annual Labor Day Job Fair, the city government also conducts regular district-wide job fairs and caravans in different Barangays in QC.
Along with other employment programs, including the QC PESO Job Start Program, QC Inclusive Employment Opportunities, QC Workers’ Welfare Program, Alagang QC, and QC Migrants Resource Center, this initiative is part of the city’s commitment to creating a city with easier employment access and empowered job seekers towards a stronger local economy.
