The Quezon City Government, through the QC Public Employment Service Office (QC PESO), has established the SMART Child: e-Habilin program, which aims to provide assistance and protection to the children of QCitizen Migrant workers.
Apart from social protection services, beneficiaries are set to have weekly skills development programs, peer support, and more activities needed for their growth, including quarterly Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and psychosocial workshops for children and their guardians, which will also help monitor the beneficiaries and develop the skills they want to obtain or hone.
Under the program, the children are monitored by district help desk officers and volunteer community parents, led by QC PESO social workers. The families who have been left behind by the OFWs will also be regularly monitored by the District/Community Coordinators.
Parents or guardians who have registered for the program can ensure that their children are given proper support and guidance.
To learn more about the program, please contact or visit QC PESO. Interested QCitizens may also see How to Register for SMART Child e-Habilin for OFWs in the QCitizen Guides for the complete list of qualifications and a detailed application process. SMART Child: e-Habilin is available on the QC-eServices platform.
