The Quezon City Government has opened the city’s first competition-standard skatepark at the Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC), providing QCitizens with a space to train and host skateboarding events.
The 3,758-square-meter skatepark has two skating bowls featuring park-style, street-style, and casual-style skating areas, equipped with rails, stairs, ledges, and technical elements, a 260-seat spectator bleacher area, and PWD-accessible ramps.
Athletes and non-athletes are welcome, as the city government recognizes different skill levels in using the high-strength concrete skate complex, separating space for beginners and advanced skaters.
To minimize flooding and water buildup, the QMC skatepark has also been built with an upgraded drainage system.
QCitizens who wish to use the facility are required to wear a helmet and are strongly encouraged to bring elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards.
For safety reasons, only skateboards and inline skates are allowed in the facility.
This initiative is part of the Quezon Memorial Circle Redevelopment Program and the city’s commitment to building safer and more inclusive public spaces, while making QC a growing hub for urban sports and outdoor recreation.
