The Quezon City government has officially acquired several parcels of land that will be distributed to various urban poor associations.   This is part of the city government’s effort to provide security of tenure to informal settlers.

The city mayor, in behalf of the city, has signed two deeds of sale for the purchase of lots owned by Tofemi Realty Corporation and Kanejin Corporation.

This is part of the mayor’s 14-point agenda to address the concerns of the city’s informal settlers, including their aspirations to have their own homes or own the land on which their homes are erected.
