The Quezon City Government, through the Education Affairs Unit (QC EAU), in partnership with Khan Academy Philippines, has been strengthening the city’s digital learning initiative by actively promoting and integrating the use of Education Technology (EdTech) and AI in Quezon City public schools.
Under the program, the Khan Academy platform and Khanmigo AI have been rolled out to all public schools in QC, which aims to provide students with a free platform that will assist them in their studies and extend aid to teachers in preparing lesson plans, activities, and monitoring student progress.
Before its implementation, the teachers have undergone training on using the platform to be able to fully guide their students in utilizing and maximizing the platform’s features.
As of April 2025, the program has already covered a total of 62,000 learners in the city, much higher than the 494 students recorded on its pilot run in 2023. In the span of two weeks, all the city’s public schools have been onboarded, marking the fastest rollout of Khan Academy in the Philippines.
This program is part of the city’s commitment to achieve a stronger, more innovative, and inclusive education system for all QCitizens.
