The Quezon City Local Government continuously strengthens its efforts to end human trafficking in city establishments, and provide QCitizens a safer place to live in.
As part of the program, the city government inspects all trafficking measures of the establishments in the hospitality sector, including hotels and inns. Confirmed establishments that enforce strict protocols that prevent human trafficking and exploitation are given certification in the form of QC Safe Seal, which stands for Quezon City Stops All Forms of Exploitation.
For their further cooperation, establishments that will even exceed the certification standards may also be granted the QC SAFE Gold Tier, which earns exclusive recognition and promotion on the city government’s official platforms and major events.
In addition, every single identity and incident reported will be thoroughly checked and monitored by the local government.
By condemning human trafficking and exploitation, the city is taking a stand that aims to protect vulnerable communities and ensure that no human trafficking will take place in any business establishments in Quezon City.
In 2024, 97 human trafficking cases were recorded, with almost half of the victims involved being minors.
As of 2025, 55 victims were rescued, with 51 of them being children.
The QC Safe Seal is part of the city’s steadfast commitment to inclusive and rights-based governance.
For more information about the certification, interested QCitizens and establishments shall coordinate with the Quezon City Tourism Department (QCTD). To report suspected trafficking cases, please call QC Helpline 122.
