ABOUT

Brief History 

Councilor Aly Medalla is an elected City Councilor from the Second Legislative District of Quezon City. Awarded twice as Outstanding City Councilor by the QC Press Club, her advocacies include accessible, quality, and inclusive education and women empowerment, among many others.

She is the principal author of The Quezon City Human Milk Bank founded in QC General Hospital, the Alternative Learning System Ordinance in all Barangays and the QC Jail Dormitory, the Post Graduate Scholarship Ordinance of the City, the establishment of the Kabahagi Center for the Differently Abled, the Quezon City Children’s Code, and the amended Charter of the Quezon City University (formerly QCPU), with 3 campuses located in the different districts of the City. She has also authored numerous ordinances that support teachers, students, solo parents, women, senior citizens, and members of the LGBTQIA+.
