The Quezon City government has established an online system for the payment of the Ordinance Violation Receipt (OVR), making it easier for traffic and ordinance violators to settle their fines, according to Mayor Joy Belmonte.
“Mas madali at mabilis nang magbayad ng multa ngayon sa tulong ng ating online payment system na makikita sa official website ng ating siyudad,” said Belmonte, adding that the online payment system is part of the city government’s effort to automate all business transactions and process in Quezon City.
“Ngayon, wala nang pwedeng idahilan ang mga violator na hindi sila makapagbayad ng multa dahil wala silang panahong magpunta ng personal sa City Hall,” she added.
Dexter Cardenas, Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD) Officer-in-Charge, said the quick and easy online process will help encourage violators to settle their fines, thus avoiding further complications in the future.
“Ito’y isang pagkakataon sa kanila na ayusin ang kanilang multa para makaiwas sa iba pang problema na maaaring idulot nito sa hinaharap,” he said.
Violators may visit the e-services portion (https://qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph) of the QC government official website and register to create an account.
After registration, they may click the “OVR Online Payment” icon in the QC E-Services and enter the OVR Ticket No. and Last Name. After accepting the Accept End User Agreement, the violator may click search.
Violators have an option to pay online via Gcash, PayMaya and PayGate or over the counter via Landbank fund transfer. They also have an option to pay manually at the QC OVR Redemption Center or at any Landbank branch of their choice by presenting the Order of Payment.
Once the manual payment is complete, they may send the photo of the order of payment and validated deposit slip to [email protected] to have their transaction recorded and marked as paid.
Traffic violators may claim their Official Receipt at the Traffic and Transport Management Office-QC OVR Redemption Center following the City Treasurer’s Office email of the photo of the official receipt. The process may take two to three working days or more, depending on the volume of online applications.
For city ordinance violators, they may get the Official Receipt (OR) at the Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) Office-Information/Receiving Counter after the City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) has emailed the photo of the official receipt.
