The Quezon City Government, in partnership with Gaming Library, proudly announces the first and largest All aBoard Expo 2025, a landmark celebration of board game culture in the Philippines. The event will take place from May 29 to June 1, 2025 at the Quezon City M.I.C.E. Center.
Spanning four exciting days of gameplay, learning, and community engagement, the All aBoard Expo 2025 is set to become a new summer highlight for families, students, professionals, hobbyists, and first-time players alike.
“This initiative responds to growing concerns about excessive screen time, particularly among our youth. It’s time to take a break from gadgets and rediscover the joy of face-to-face play,” said Mayor Joy Belmonte. “Board games not only entertain, but also foster social connection, creativity, and mental wellness. In today’s digital age, we need more spaces where people can unwind, reconnect, and share meaningful experiences. We’re proud to support this unique and inclusive event.”
Aimed especially at children and teens on summer break, the expo promotes board games as a wholesome alternative to digital devices—encouraging emotional well-being, collaboration, and critical thinking through hands-on, interactive play.
Beyond the fun, All aBoard Expo 2025 highlights the life skills board games can teach, including teamwork, strategic decision-making, patience, and empathy—values often overlooked in digital-based entertainment. For students under academic pressure, it offers a refreshing outlet for joy, relaxation, and human connection.
“All aBoard Expo 2025 is more than an event—it’s a celebration of a growing movement,” said Hans Kenner Fernandez, CEO of Gaming Library. “We are excited to bring together game lovers of all ages to explore, compete, and build lasting memories. Partnering with the Quezon City Government allows us to broaden access and bring this experience to more communities.”
Highlights of the event include:
- Main Tournaments and Side Quests for popular titles such as Cascadia and King of Tokyo
- Board Game Workshops led by international guests Yohan Goh and David Gordon
- Demo areas, interactive booths, and family-friendly activities designed for all ages
Families are encouraged to attend together and make it a summer bonding experience unlike any other.
