QC Government Inspects Lodging Establishments for Child Protection Compliance

Nag-inspeksyon ang Quezon City Government sa mga hotel, motel, at apartelle sa lungsod bilang bahagi ng pinaigting na kampanya laban sa child trafficking at exploitation.

Ngayong araw, sinuyod ng mga tauhan ng Business Permits and Licensing Department (BPLD), Department of Building Official (DBO), Social Services Development Department (SSDD), Quezon City Health Department (QCHD), at Public Employment Service Office (PESO) ang ilan sa mga lodging establishments para tingnan ang kanilang mga certification at permit.

Ipinaalala rin sa kanila ang Quezon City Tourism Child Protection Policy (City Ordinance SP-3413, S-2024). Sa ilalim ng ordinansa, kailangang gawin ng mga establisimyento ang mga sumusunod:

– I-require ang mga adult guest na magpakita ng proof of identity

– Kapag may kasamang menor de edad, kailangan maipakita ang kanyang valid ID at patunay ng relasyon o kaugnayan ng adult guest sa bata

– Pagbawalan ang mga menor de edad na pumasok sa establisimyento na walang kaugnayan o hindi kaano-ano ng mga guest

– Sa loob ng 24 oras, mag-report sa QC Hall kung may pinaghihinalaang insidente ng child exploitation, abuse, o online sexual exploitation of children (OSAEC) sa establisimyento

Noong nakaraang linggo, dalawang hotel ang ipinasara ng lungsod na naging lugar ng pang-aabuso at pananamantala sa mga kabataang QCitizen.
