In a bid to further expand its vaccination program, the Quezon City local government has partnered with SM City Malls to open its first drive-thru vaccination site.

The city government opened a drive-thru inoculation set-up in SM Fairview located in District 5.

“This is another product of our strong partnership with the private sector. This site will be convenient for those who register in groups like a family who just have to drive-thru this site while in the comfort of their cars,” Mayor Joy Belmonte said.

Mayor Belmonte explained that citizens accommodated in this site will undergo the usual process – site registration, screening, vaccination, and post vaccination evaluation where patients will park their cars in designated slots.

During its first day, the SM Fairview Drive-thru site accommodated 100 residents of Barangay Greater Lagro belonging to A1-A3 priority groups.

Another batch of 110 individuals from Barangay Pasong Putik belonging to the same priority groups was inoculated by QC medical workers and volunteers on its second day (May 18). The drive thru vaccination will resume on Saturday.

Only citizens pre-registered through the barangay-assisted booking scheme are accommodated.

Residents near this vaccination site may coordinate with their respective barangays for an assisted booking schedule in the SM Fairview drive-thru.

Belmonte encourages QCitizens to book their own vaccination schedule either through the EZConsult website or through barangay-assisted booking.

“QCitizens, especially those who live busy lifestyles, please take advantage of this fast and convenient vaccine service, guaranteed to take away no more than 45 minutes of your time,” says Belmonte.
