Around 300 micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) owners and their staff strengthened their digital capabilities through the Unlad Lokal Roadshow Caravan held at the QC M.I.C.E. Center—equipping them with practical tools to compete and grow in the digital economy.
The initiative, led by the Quezon City Small Business and Cooperatives Development and Promotions Office (QC-SBCDPO) in partnership with TikTok Shop and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry–Quezon City, delivered hands-on training in e-commerce, digital marketing, and live selling—focusing on real, actionable skills that participants can immediately apply.
Participants received step-by-step guidance on setting up accounts, becoming affiliates, and maximizing platform features, including TikTok’s “Yellow Basket,” to effectively promote and sell their products online.
To ensure targeted learning, attendees were grouped into three specialized tracks: product sellers, service providers, and affiliates or content creators. Each group underwent tailored training aligned with their specific needs.
Product sellers were trained on platform operations and best practices, service providers learned to maximize advertising tools, while affiliates and creators developed skills in content production and live selling.
By combining technical training with real-time onboarding, the program enables participants to launch or enhance their online presence on the spot—expanding their market reach, connecting with broader audiences, and increasing their earning potential.
The roadshow forms part of the city’s Entrepreneurial Development Program (EDP), which continues to build a more competitive and resilient MSME sector through practical, skills-based learning.
“Bahagi ng proseso ang paggabay sa ating entrepreneurs sa changing landscape ng pagnenegosyo, lalo na with the availability of e-commerce and digital platforms,” Mayor Joy Belmonte said. “Sama-sama nating pagsisikapan na magkaroon kayo ng pagkakataong umasenso.”
Through the EDP, the city government has conducted 130 training sessions, benefiting 6,194 participants—underscoring its sustained commitment to helping local businesses transition to digital and e-commerce platforms.
Interested entrepreneurs may join upcoming sessions by visiting the EDP Training Calendar at qc-sbcdpo.com/TrainingCalendar or through the QC-SBCDPO Facebook page.
