Small Income-Generating Assistance (SIGA) is a type of capital assistance available to disadvantaged individuals or their families, who may receive an amount depending on the project proposal and the approved list of supplies.
ELIGIBILITY:
- 18 to 59 years old
- Indigent (with monthly income of Php 12,000 or less)
- With existing business or previously had a business
- Not a recipient of any financial/livelihood assistance from the QC government or national agencies
- Unemployed solo parent/Persons with Disability (PWD)/Former Person Deprived of Liberty (PDL)/Child in Conflict with the Law (CICL)/Family member/Women in Difficult Circumstances (WEDC)/Repatriated OFW or a Family member/Livelihood Skills Training graduates/Displaced workers
REQUIREMENTS:
- Personal letter of intent addressed to the Department Head
- Barangay Certificate of Indigency for the purpose of capital assistance
- Valid government-issued ID, preferably QCitizen ID
ONSITE APPLICATION:
- Submit a request letter to the office of the Social Services Development Department, located on the 4th floor of Civic Center E in Quezon City Hall.
- Expect to be notified about the schedule for interview and assessment via text, call, or email.
- If qualified to receive assistance, you will have to attend 6 hours of business counseling, where you will be trained and expected to prepare a project proposal. Kindly bring a barangay certificate of indigency with you.
- Wait for advice on the scheduled release of the assistance.
ONLINE APPLICATION:
- Log in to QC E-services using the email registered for your QCitizen ID eApplication.
- Choose the SSDD (Social Services Development Department) icon from among the display of services and click ‘Apply for a Social Service.’
- Select a service and provide all the necessary details.
- Once you have completed the form, your application will be assessed.
- Expect to be notified about the schedule for interview and assessment via text, call, or email.
- If qualified to receive assistance, you will have to attend 6 hours of business counseling, where you will be trained on how to prepare a project proposal. Kindly bring a barangay certificate of indigency with you.
- Wait for advice on the scheduled release of the assistance.
