Quezon City Earns Fifth Straight Unmodified Opinion from COA
City upholds highest standards in financial management and public trust
The Quezon City Government has earned its fifth consecutive Unmodified Opinion from the Commission on Audit (COA), affirming the city’s consistent commitment to transparency, accountability, and sound fiscal governance.
An Unmodified Opinion—the highest audit rating COA can give—signifies that Quezon City’s financial statements are presented fairly, free from material misstatements, and fully compliant with government accounting standards.
Mayor Joy Belmonte welcomed the recognition with pride and gratitude.
“This recognition from COA is not just about numbers—it’s about trust. It affirms that we are managing public funds with integrity and always with the welfare of QCitizens in mind,” said Mayor Belmonte. “It’s a testament to our team’s dedication to honest, transparent, and efficient governance.”
The 2024 Independent Auditor’s Report confirmed the accuracy and completeness of the city’s financial records, reflecting Quezon City’s culture of excellence in public service delivery and financial stewardship.
With this latest recognition, Quezon City solidifies its position as one of the most financially well-managed local government units in the country. It also strengthens the city’s mission to deliver transparent, people-centered services that uplift lives and contribute to national progress.
