Following last year’s successful celebration, the Quezon City Government will be hosting anew the much-anticipated New Year’s Countdown revelry at the Quezon Memorial Circle this coming December 31, 2024.

This year, the city government boasts a star-studded lineup, including Ely Buendia, Ben&Ben, Kamikazee, Gloc-9, Kean Cipriano, Noel Palomo (of Siakol) with the Repakol Band, Shamrock, The Juans, Mrld, Ryannah J., and Kenaniah.

The countdown will also be hosted by Uma Rojo, MC and Lassy, Negi, and CJ Villavicencio.

QCitizens are encouraged to bring their families to enjoy the festivities, as this will be an event that will guarantee fun and excitement for all ages.

“We are inviting everyone to come and celebrate with us. It’s going to be a great show as we welcome the new year,” Mayor Joy Belmonte said.

A fireworks display and a special drone show will also be part of the celebration.
As part of Quezon City’s eco-friendly initiatives, attendees are encouraged to bring their own tumblers, as single-use plastics will not be allowed inside the venue. Drinking stations will also be available within the venue for the refilling of tumblers.

To ensure law and order during the event, various city agencies such as the Department of Public Order and Safety, Task Force Disiplina, Traffic and Transport Management Department, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and the Quezon City Police District will be collaborating and deploying units in the area, including police, traffic enforcers, and medical teams. Traffic officers will also be stationed at key areas around the Quezon Memorial Circle to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety of pedestrians.
Additionally, QCity buses will be available for public use until 2:00 AM, providing free rides from the Quezon Memorial Circle to the various designated QCity bus stops in eight different routes.

All the information regarding the new traffic schemes that will be implemented during the day itself, QCity bus routes, and further announcements are posted in the official Quezon City Government Facebook page.
