Learning Through Adventure is Even More Fun at the RSTW in NCR!
As part of the 2024 Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) in NCR, the DOST-NCR organized an exciting Science Community Tour that introduced over 300 students from various schools to new technologies and innovations. The tour, which was a collaboration with the Department of Education – NCR, featured technologies developed by DOST-PAGASA, DOST-PHIVOLCS, and the Sunnyville Community Model Farm in Quezon City.
The students explored the Innovation Zone and tried their hands on interactive exhibits from DOST-PAGASA and DOST-PHIVOLCS.
There were interactive exhibits on earthquake preparedness and volcanic activity at the PHIVOLCS booth, which gave students a comprehensive understanding of earth sciences and environmental safety. PAGASA’s booth, on the other hand, featured the science behind weather forecasting and climate monitoring.
