Ginunita ng Quezon City ang ika-129 anibersaryo ng kabayanihan ni Dr. Jose Rizal.

Pinangunahan nina Majority Floor Leader Coun. Aly Medalla at Coun. Cocoy Medina ang pag-aalay ng bulaklak sa bantayog ng bayani sa QC Hall compound.

Nakiisa rin sa paggunita sa Rizal Day ang mga department head ng lokal na pamahalaan, National Historical Commission of the Philippines, Quezon City Police District, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (Male and Female Dormitory), Schools Division Office, Konseho ng Barangay Central, at Knights of Columbus – Diocese of Cubao.
