Sa Quezon City, binibigyan ng pagkakataon at pinalalakas ang mga babaeng Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) sa pamamagitan ng mga programang pang-edukasyon at pangkabuhayan. 💛

Sa ilalim ng No Woman Left Behind Program, halos 600 babaeng PDLs ang nakatanggap ng libreng livelihood training.

Noong 2024, kumita sila ng ₱1.5 milyon sa mga caravan at bazaar, bahagi ng kabuuang ₱4.5 milyon na kita mula sa pagbebenta ng kanilang mga produkto.

Simula 2019, muling nakapag-aral ang mga PDL sa pamamagitan ng Alternative Learning System (ALS):

• 74 PDL graduates sa Elementary at Junior High School

• 64 PDL graduates sa Senior High School

• 19 PDL ang nagtapos ng BS Entrepreneurship sa Quezon City University

Dahil sa mga programang pang-edukasyon na ito, bumaba ang bilang ng recidivists o mga dating PDL na muling nakakulong.

Isa sa mga inspirasyon ng programang ito ay si Marissa Basa, isang ALS graduate na sumailalim sa Basic Housekeeping Skills Training. Pagkatapos niyang makalaya, agad siyang nakahanap ng trabaho sa Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA, patunay na may bagong simula sa labas ng piitan.
