Magkatuwang na inilunsad ng Quezon City Government at Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) Resilient Cities Project ang Vendor Business School (VBS) ngayong araw.
Sa buong mundo, tanging QC sa Pilipinas at Nairobi sa Kenya ang kasama sa pagpapatupad ng VBS.
Nasa 140 ang mga market vendors na napabilang sa VBS. Layon nitong mapaigting ang kakayahan ng mga vendors sa pagnenegosyo, food safety, market technology, climate change, at pati na rin sa nutrisyon.
Aabot ng anim na buwan ang training workshops at coaching and mentoring sessions ng mga vendors. Magiging kwalipikado rin sila sa Pangkabuhayang QC Program na nagbibigay ng business capital grant para sa kanilang negosyo.
Pinangunahan nina Mayor Joy Belmonte at Vice Mayor Gian Sotto ang naganap na launch.
