Quezon City is among the cities in the world invited at the World Cities Summit 2024 in Singapore, to share its best practices in addressing pressing urban challenges through harmonizing ground-up and top-down efforts.

During the Mayor’s Forum on Sunday, Mayor Joy Belmonte discussed how QC develops and improves city-led initiatives in forging partnerships with other government agencies, private entities, and communities towards a sustainable, resilient, and inclusive future.

The city values a multi-sectoral approach to meet its climate goals, ensuring a balanced strategy that empowers every resident and private sector, and fostering national and international collaboration.

In crafting plans and policies, the city government makes sure that every sector’s voice is heard, and their needs are considered.

Examples of the city’s realization of a strong community, private sector, and government partnership include the success of the Trash to Cashback program, and the establishment of refilling hubs in communities that prevent hundreds of thousands of sachets from ending up in landfills.
