Effective tomorrow, Monday, 05 April 2021, the Quezon City Government will be implementing two new Zipper Lanes along Commonwealth Avenue in the Fairview area. This is meant to help address traffic congestion during morning rush hours and afternoon-to-evening rush hours.

The AM Zipper Lane will be open from 5:30AM to 8:00AM, Mondays to Saturdays, and will commence at the junction of Commonwealth Avenue and Regalado Highway. It will terminate at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Camaro Street.

The PM Zipper Lane will be open from 5:00PM to 8:00PM, Mondays to Saturdays, and will commence at the junction of Commonwealth Avenue and Fairlane Street. It will terminate at the junction of Commonwealth Avenue and Regalado Highway.

Only light vehicles and motorcycles will be allowed to use the Zipper Lane. All vehicles in the Zipper Lane must stay in the middle of the lane and form a single line of vehicles. No two vehicles shall be allowed side-by-side each other and absolutely no overtaking will be permitted.

During Zipper Lane operating hours, the traffic signal lights in the area will be on flashing mode. Hence, all motorists are requested to pay close attention to the Quezon City and MMDA Traffic Enforcers assigned to the area, and follow their hand signals at all times.

Thank you very much and let us all continue motoring safely and with utmost care and respect for one another.
