The Quezon City Government through the Gender and Development Council Office, has organized an annual Commitment Ceremony for the LGBTQIA+ Couples.
Hundreds of members of the community have been participating yearly in the exchange of vows officiated by Mayor Joy Belmonte and witnessed by other city officials.
The ceremony is part of the local government’s goal to provide a place where every member of the community is well-respected and treated equally. The city also aims to protect the rights of all QCitizens against Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Expression (SOGIE) discrimination and prevent gender-based violence in QC.
QCitizens who wish to register must submit the following:
- Application Form
- QCItizen ID
- Must be 18 years old and above
- Must have 1 witness
As of May 2025, 915 LGBTQIA+ couples have already participated in the exchange of vows in commitment ceremonies since 2020. Quezon City has always been known for being vocal on its continuous support and rally for equality, diversity, and inclusivity for all QCitizens.
