The Quezon City Local Government through the Social Services Development Department (SSDD) has set up various homes for the city’s youth under dire circumstances.
Molave Youth Home
A residential facility that provides temporary secure custody to Children-in-Conflict-with-the-Law (CICL) with pending cases before Quezon City Courts, ages 15-18 years old, both male and female. Under Molave Youth Home, the CICLs will undertake the assessment and the process of admission.
The release of a Child-in-Conflict-with-the-Law depends on the Court order of the Honorable Judge in charge. The CICL may also undergo an After-Care Program as per the court’s order.
Bahay Kalinga
A residential facility for ages 17 years old and below, children-at-risk (CAR), which includes children who are abused, abandoned, and neglected residents of Quezon City in need of temporary secure custody and intervention.
Under both programs, the children undergo a center-based case management plan which encompasses social, home life, medical/dental care, skills training, educational, and spiritual enhancement services that depend on the client’s needs.
As of April 2025, Molave Youth Home has already served 5,248 Children-in-Conflict-with-the-Law (CICL) since 2019.
For Bahay Kalinga, 522 abandoned children and children at risk were also given temporary shelter from 2022 to April 2025.
