The Quezon City Government has launched the Community-Based Mental Health Program, which integrates mental health care services, prevention, treatment, and promotion of mental wellness in the community with primary health services in all city health centers.
The program mainly aims to bring the appropriate mental health services closer and more accessible to people by shifting from hospital-based care to a community-based mental health care delivery system.
Quezon City Health Centers offer free mental health services, including screening, counseling, referral, and even medicines. Along with these are the construction of the Mental Wellness Access Hubs (MWAH) in each district to provide a more comprehensive mental care service that is open every Tuesday and Thursday.
For the free maintenance medicines for QCitizens with mental health conditions, the following medicines are available:
- Clozapine 100mg tablets
- Biperiden 2mg tablets
- Chlorpromazine 100mg tablets
- Lithium Carbonate 450mg tablets
- Sertraline 50mg tablets
- Escitalopram Oxalate 10mg tablets
- Quetiapine 200mg tablets
- Valproic Acid tablets
You may claim the medicines from your health center or barangays by presenting your prescription. These services are available in all health centers from Monday to Friday.
