In the early 1950’s, what would become Barangay Pag-ibig sa Nayon was just a small site of mostly rice fields in Balintawak. By the middle of that decade, those fields transformed into subdivisions, and with the establishment of factories, many farmers became factory workers.
The barrio grew through the decades that followed, recognized in 1973 among the 66 Civic Barrios of Quezon City, but always a barangay beloved by its residents, recognized by the Local Government Code of 1991.
