Nakiisa ang Quezon City Government sa paglulunsad ng Halina’t Magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay (HAPAG) sa Barangay Project ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Bilang kinatawan ni Mayor Joy Belmonte, ibinahagi ni QC Sustainable Development Affairs Unit Chief Emmanuel Hugh Velasco ang programa ng lungsod na Grow QC food security initiative na nagsusulong ng urban agriculture na makakapagbigay din ng karagdagang trabaho at oportunidad sa mga QCitizen.

Sabay-sabay pumirma sa pledge of commitment ang mga kinatawan ng iba-ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan, sa pangunguna ni Secretary of the Interior and Local Government Benjamin Abalos Jr.

Nagtanim at nag-ani rin sina Sec. Abalos at iba pang panauhin sa urban farm ng Holy Spirit bilang hudyat ng pagsisimula ng programa na naglalayong palakasin pa ang kapasidad ng mga komunidad sa sustainable urban agriculture.

Bahagi rin ng programa sina DILG Usec. Felicito Valmocina, DILG Usec. Lord Villanueva, Dir. U-Nichols Manalo ng Department of Agriculture, MMDA General Manager PCol. Procopio Lipana (Ret.), Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor Elpidio Jordan, Ms Milagros Federizo ng National Nutrition Council, National President ng Liga ng mga Barangay Eden Chua Pineda, OWWA Administrator Arnaldo Ignacio, Mowelfund President Mr. Res Cortes, District 2 Action Officer Atty. Bong Teodoro, at Barangay Holy Spirit Chairperson Lydia Ballesteros.
