The Quezon City Government, through the QC Gender and Development Council (GAD), has launched the Gender and Development (GAD) Integrated Management Information System, or the QC VAW Centralized Databank System, which aims to make reporting, tracking, and processing of gender-based violence cases in the city easier and faster.
The system serves as a unified database for Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) cases reported at city hall, barangays, and VAWC desks in police stations, ensuring that all reported cases are tracked and that prompt, necessary measures are implemented.
Each barangay and police station has a VAWC Desk Officer deployed to assist VAWC victims in filing reports and complaints. The city assures that all information provided and submitted will remain confidential and secure.
This initiative is part of the city’s Campaign to End Violence Against Women.
To learn more about the program, kindly reach out to QC GAD and follow the Official GAD Facebook Page. Interested QCitizens may also visit the QC VAW Centralized Databank System.
