Led by Mayor Joy Belmonte, the Quezon City government awarded the top graduating students of the city’s public schools who possessed the highest general grade average with a cash incentive in support of their brighter future and to further their higher learning. Those with the third highest grade average were awarded with Php4,000, the second highest were in turn given Php6,000, and those leading the pack with the highest general average were rewarded with Php10,000 each.
In addition, 40 students who displayed empathy and sensitivity to social issues while also demonstrating exemplary leadership skills were awarded Php10,000 each.
