The local government of Quezon City  has set up  the Senior Citizens Maintenance Medicine Program for senior citizens. Through the program, senior citizens who are suffering from hypertension, diabetes and high cholesterol can now get their maintenance medicine for free.

The city health centers will make available:

• Losartan (50mg/tab) and Amlodipine (5mg/tab) for those with hypertension
• Metformin (500mg/tab) for those with diabetes, and
• Simvastatin (20mg/tab) for those with high cholesterol

Senior citizens belonging to the program are given their monthly maintenance needs.
