The Quezon City Local Government has partnered with the National Government through various agencies in building multiple housing projects that will benefit the QCitizens.
These projects aim to foster in-city housings that shelter thousands of families, especially informal settlers and acquire more open spaces with the assistance of the national government agencies.
Pambansang Pabahay Program: Zero ISF Program
With the launching of Pambansang Pabahay Program: Zero ISF Program for 2028 in Harmony Hills Terraces, Batasan Hills, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) has signed up a Memorandum of Understanding with the city government that aims to build one million houses every year until 2028 for a total of six million houses.
NIA Compound
For the construction of NIA Compound, the city government together with the National Housing Authority (NHA) has signed an Usufruct Agreement wherein the city is allowed to develop the 20,955 sqm NIA compound owned by the latter.
The program will give 3,675 families currently living by the NIA road a decent housing. The project is envisioned to be a community with a playground, day care, health center, chapel and multi-purpose hall.
Children International Housing Units
The Children International has formally turned over several housing units and open spaces in Damong Maliit, Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon to the QC local government and resident beneficiaries.
The titles of the housing units have been transferred to 66 family beneficiaries of the program along with the local government’s signing of the Deed of Donation and Acceptance for the open spaces.
All of these programs are part of the city’s 14-point agenda to build and provide more dignified houses for the QCitizens.
