The Training for Leadership Program aims to prepare SK officials and Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) members for effective leadership by imparting the knowledge, skills, and values needed in their roles.

The Training for Leadership has the following objectives:

• Understand and fulfill roles and responsibilities in line with the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Reform Act of 2015.
• Acquire technical skills necessary for effective role execution.
• Ensure comprehensive comprehension and practical application of legislative requirements.
• Equip SK officials with competence and proficiency to actively contribute within the legal framework established by the SK Reform Act.

A total of 140 newly elected Sangguniang Kabataan Councils, including a Chairperson, Councilor, Treasurers, and Secretaries, actively participated in training modules that focused on the executive, legislative, and finance functions stipulated in Republic Act 10742, also known as the “Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015.
