The City Government of Quezon City has renovated and modernized the Amoranto Sports Complex (ASC) to make it a world-class sports facility.
The complex boasts indoor and outdoor facilities for various sports, including basketball, volleyball, badminton, football, and swimming, that aim to provide a venue for the city’s sports events and a training area for QCitizen athletes.
With the renovation, the Amoranto Arena now has a lobby that caters to up to 400 people, a court with 300 maximum capacity, a function hall that can accommodate 40-50 persons, and a multi-level parking for cars, motorcycles, and bicycles with 224 parking capacity.
Its modernization also covers the tennis court, 50-meter Olympic-sized pool with 10 competition-grade lanes, 300-seating capacity pool bleachers for visitors, as well as new showers, restrooms, and changing areas. For emergencies that need medical attention, ASC has set up clinics in the arena and poolside.
The Amoranto Sports Complex seeks to build additional facilities, including a billiards hall, a chess room, a darts room, a boxing ring, a pickleball court, a new weightlifting gym, and a football field with an 8-lane track.
The venue is open to the public for competitions and training use.
The rehabilitation is part of the city’s commitment to raising the level of the city’s sports programs to international heights.
