In its firm resolve to support distance learning for its students, the Quezon City government turned over on Monday 8,791 units of wifi modems and prepaid sim cards with P1,000 monthly load to public elementary school teachers and photocopier machines to all its public schools.
“We want to make sure that all of our public school teachers are well-equipped to educate our youth and that all of their teaching needs are met,” said Mayor Belmonte.
Recognizing the crucial role of teachers in educating school children, the city has continuously prioritized its support for teachers.
In the coming weeks, 3,210 laptops will be distributed for the use of teachers in preparing for their remote classes. Public high school teachers will also receive prepaid sim cards with P1,000 monthly load.
City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Jenilyn Rose B Corpuz thanked the city government for providing learning tools to teachers, students and public schools.
“The continued assistance will surely help our schools especially our teachers, and we extend our gratitude to the city government, through the leadership of Mayor Belmonte for their all-out support to our education system,” Corpuz added.
Earlier, the city government provided tablets with data allocation as well as school materials, modules and hygiene kits to public school students.
