The Quezon City Jail Male Dorm (QCJMD) and the BJMP-NCR Health Services Division in partnership with the Quezon City Health Department administers Astrazeneca Booster shots to 1,858 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) while 33 PDL receives the primary dose and 15 other PDL gets jab with the secondary dose of the vaccine.

The total number of vaccinated PDL at QCJ is now pegged at 3,282 or 99.7%, out of 3,291 total jail population, while the total number of pdl administered with booster shot is at 2745 or 83.4%.

The Chief, BJMP, JDIR ALLAN S IRAL calls for the conduct monthly vaccination of Personnel and PDL in BJMP jails nationwide. In strong support to the leadership thrust, Jail Warden JSUPT MICHELLE NG BONTO, has entered into a partnership with the QC LGU for the provision of vaccines and monthly conduct of Covid19 Vaccination for the PDL. The QC Health Department also deploys the member of its QC Protektodo Team in the conduct of Covid Vaccination in jails as additional manpower.

As the QCJ Male Dormitory achieve its highest vaccination rate at 99.7% , the jail now prepares for the implementation of the Non-Contact Visitation for the relatives and loved ones of the PDL. The PDL are looking forward to the visitation as this will be the first time in 2 years that visitors will be allowed to visit the jail via designated non-contact visitation areas since the jail lockdown was implemented in March 2020. The public is assured of the strict adherence of QCJMD to the health and safety protocols as the jail continue to be a “Zero Covid Free” facility.
