As part of the month-long 85th founding anniversary of Quezon City, the QC government will launch the inaugural QC Day Sale from Oct. 11 to 13 in partnership with key business and retail stakeholders.
Mayor Joy Belmonte said the three-day sale is a collaboration with the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA), the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Quezon City (PCCI-QC), and major mall operators.
“This initiative is expected to stimulate economic activity, generate business opportunities, and support local enterprises. Bukod pa riyan, ito’y regalo ng pamahalaang lungsod sa ating QCitizens bilang pagdiriwang ng ika-85 anibersaryo ng ating siyudad,” Belmonte said.
The event also aims to underscore the business sector’s’ role as a key player in the city’s journey toward progress, as indicated by the theme for this year’s anniversary, “Tayo ang QC.”
To align with the city’s 85th anniversary, Belmonte said participating businesses are encouraged to offer discounts or deals to consumers.
“Businesses also have the flexibility to propose other creative offers, including freebies or other value-added incentives,” the Mayor stated.
Participating establishments will be displayed in the city’s official social media channels, as well as in LED screens and streamers along major thoroughfares.
According to PRA President Bobby Claudio, the QC Day Sale is an opportunity for retailers to celebrate with the city government and accelerate economic activity within these establishments.
“Through this, we can promote Quezon City as a premier retail and business hub in the Philippines while stimulating economic growth,” Claudio said.
Meanwhile, PCCI-QC reiterates its commitment to work alongside the city government towards business development.
“PCCI-QC has always been a longtime partner of the city government to ensure the development of entrepreneurs, from nano to micro to large, in this city,” PCCI-QC President Atty. Arnel Mateo said.
The participating malls include Fairview Terraces, Ayala Malls Vertis North, Eastwood Mall, Eton Centris, Ever Gotesco, Fisher Mall, Gateway, Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Magnolia, SM City North Edsa, SM City Novaliches, SM City Fairview, SM Araneta City, SM City Sta.
