Located in a lowland area and originally intended for the low-salaried employees and the laborers living in Quezon City, Barangay Quirino 2C was created as a Barangay under Executive Order No. 30 dated June 25, 1975.
The barangay is an urban community bounded by Metropolitan Water District Pipe Line (Manila Waters) on the northwest, Buwaya Creek on the northeast, and Langka Street on the south and western borders. The natural features of the barangay were considered in its development plan as some parts of Quirino 2C, especially the one situated in Buwaya Creek, are prone to flooding.
