Barangay Quirino 3-A was formally organized as one of the four civic barrios which comprised the Project 3 (Quirino District) in the Cubao Area on June 22, 1972.
In 1974, Barangay Quirino 3-A became a regular barangay by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 557. By this decree, all barrios in the Philippines were known to be as barangays.
