The Quezon City Government has tailored multiple livelihood opportunities and training to help QCitizen mothers gain more skills, experience, knowledge, and strategies to assist them in expanding their reach and generating more income.
One of the programs is the Proudly Original Products of Quezon City (POP QC) Program of the Small Business and Cooperatives Development and Promotions Office (QC- SBCDPO), where mothers are given priority, especially at every POP QC Mother’s Day Market that is conducted regularly. It gives them a platform to promote their artistry and innovation embedded in their local products, showcased through different bazaars, exhibits, and trade shows.

Another is the Pangkabuhayang QC, which benefits not specifically mothers but solo parents who are unemployed and in need of assistance to grow their businesses. Pangkabuhayang QC provides cash assistance ranging from Php 10,000 to Php 20,000, depending on the applicant’s business plan to contribute to their initial capital, and conducts training with partner agencies.
Apart from that, the city government has also established the Digital Beauty Academy (DBA) for QCitizens, including solo parents and mothers of PWDs. Under the program, they undergo 2 to 3 months of various training sessions in beauty as well as take on digital content creation, and financial literacy that will assist the sectors to productively contribute to the local economy.
