The Quezon City Government and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) conducted a BREAD AND PASTRY PRODUCTION Course for the city’s residents.
This is an ongoing program available to interested QCitizens. The first batch produced 100 graduates from Barangay Sta. Lucia, UP Campus, Libis, Bungad and Payatas. The graduates received a Bread and Pastry Production NC II from TESDA which gives them the skill and qualification to use baking equipment, prepare bread and other desserts for hotels, restaurants, canteens and resorts.
Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, TESDA-QC District Director Mariflor Liwanag and QC Skills and Livelihood Foundation, Inc OIC Valerie Bernardino also distributed an oven to graduates as a starter kit and encouraged them to use their newly-found skill to start their own business. They are encouraged to join the QC Small Business and Cooperative Development and Promotions Office. They Can also be part of the GROW QC program where the city can purchase their produced bread for the city’s feeding program.
