The Social Services Development Department (SSDD) of the Quezon City Government has granted a capital assistance program to sari-sari store owners and small business owners of the city since the pandemic.
The program now extends its assistance to individuals who belong to indigent families, solo parents, Persons with Disabilities (PWD), and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) who need to increase their income to sustain their daily needs.
The initiative further aims to provide people with an opportunity to participate in and be aware of income-generating activities that will aid them in improving their economic status.
Applicants will undergo a thorough inspection and evaluation by the SSDD, along with livelihood training, to ensure a more knowledgeable and strategic approach to utilizing capital for their businesses. The approved applicants will receive P5,000.00.
As of June 2025, a total of 23,956 beneficiaries have received assistance since 2019.
