The Quezon City Government, through the Social Services Development Department (SSDD), has established multiple Child Development Centers (CDCs) throughout the city for children aged 3 to 4 years old.
With the program, the local government focuses on providing children with early childhood education to help with their growth and readiness for a more formal education.
Children living in QC with the following qualifications are given priority in the application process:
- Carry over (students who graduated Pre-K1 in the past school year)
- Children listed on the annual Operation Timbang Plus of the Quezon City Health Department (QCHD)
- Children who belong to indigent families, large families, children of working mothers, children of solo parents, and children with malnutrition.
Listed below are the requirements for submission:
- PSA Birth Certificate
- Immunization Records/ECCD Card
- QC ID of parent or guardian
- Solo Parent ID, 4Ps ID, PWD ID (if applicable)
The construction of 303 CDCs is implemented in line with the department’s Children Development Service Program. All city-operated Children Development Centers grant free tuition for qualified learners.
As of the school year 2024-2025, 17,010 students have graduated in CDCs, reaching a total of 146,100 graduates since 2019.
