The Community Tax Certificate, also referred to as Cedula, is essential for most government transactions, serving as both a primary and secondary form of identification. Individuals may receive this certificate upon payment of the community tax at the City Treasurer’s Office satellite payment centers or at City Hall.
NOTE: Cedula is valid for one year from the date of issuance.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Resident of the Philippines
- 18 years old and above
- Individuals who have earned salaries for at least 30 consecutive working days during the calendar year
- Those who have a real estate property or a collective asset value of PHP 1,000 and above within the city
- Those who are required by law to file income tax returns
REQUIREMENTS:
- Accomplished Community Tax Declaration Form (CTDF) from City Treasurer’s Office
- Valid government-issued ID
- Proof of Income Accomplished Community Tax Declaration Form (CTDF) from City Treasurer’s Office
- Valid government-issued ID
- Proof of Income/Copy of Payslips/Certificate of Compensation Payment or Tax Withheld (BIR Form 2316)
- For authorized representative:
- Authorization Letter
- Photocopy (with 3 specimen signatures) of valid government-issued ID of the representative
- Photocopy of the valid government-issued ID of individual being represented with 3 specimen signatures
PROCESS:
- Upon filling out the Community Tax Declaration Form, proceed to the counter intended for encoding of information.
- Pay the required amount (depends on the income of the taxpayer) and receive the computerized CTC.
