The Quezon City Government, through the Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS), organizes bike lessons for QCitizens in schools, barangays, and among QC Hall employees, encouraging them to incorporate biking into their daily routines.
Under the program, participants learn essential biking skills, safety protocols, and road awareness through structured lessons delivered by DPOS-Green Transport Division (GTD) Personnel and representatives from various bike groups, covering aspects such as bike handling, traffic rules, and basic maintenance.
This program is part of the city’s efforts to foster a vibrant biking community with participants forming social networks, organizing group rides, and advocating for cycling-friendly policies and infrastructure.
Along with the expansion of the QC bike lane network and the installation of bike ramps and bike racks, this program aims to promote cycling as a sustainable and healthy mode of transportation.
As of March 2026, the program has accommodated a total of 1,000 participants, consisting of 100 students, 650 barangay residents, and 250 QC Hall employees.
To learn more about the program, kindly reach out to the QC DPOS or call Helpine 122 for inquiries on other city programs.
